While the status of my Homestead Project is in the imagination stage, almost every road I've traveled to a successful destination was charted with a vision board. Magic is being worked even if I can't see it happening. The exact location and design of my next home is still to be determined, but the look and feel, the vibe of the space is crystal clear.
It has to be green - meaning more than full of plants and flowers. Green to me and advocated in this site is about nature-minded, sustainable and authentic. Maybe the green will manifest in the reclaimed wood I use or the recycled glass I choose for my counter tops. It will very likely be evident in the used books you find on my bookshelves, the ethically-made clothes in my closet along with my better to buy one really good pair of shoes than 5 crappy pairs, in the vegan soap I bathe with, the natural fibers toy my M. Pumpkin plays with... you get the picture. Some of the details are clear (I have the items earmarked in an online shopping cart somewhere) and some are more about experience - happy bellies after a grass-fed burger, peace of mind, time well spent with my daughter, close friends and family.
Back to the vision board... here are some visuals that keep my dream alive!
